Calender to partner-countries!
Together with the children we made a calendar to our COMENIUS friends in England, France and Spain. During a gathering with the kids, we talked about our seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter. We discussed different issues with the children, such as: how can we look at our nature which season we have in Sweden? What makes our animals and insects during the different seasons. The kids said it was sunny, warm, one could jump trampoline, ladybugs wake up, in winter there is snow, you can ski and sledding. Beetles go to bed when it gets cold. The children said that we can see on the leaves of the trees which season it is. In winter, the tree is naked and on summer dress the tree in itself.
We wondered how the differences in the seasons look like in our partner countries? The children then chose a different season and plotted how they might look like here in Sweden at the time. The children who worked on the calendar is 4-6y.
