Lilly's of the valley

Today our environmental awareness group walked to Churchdown ponds and joined other local schools to help with a community planting project.

Jo Worthy-Jones from the gloucestershire wildlife centre asked if we could help plant Lily's  of the valley.  We were told we had to dig a hole of about 25cms deep and put the roots into the hole with the purple shoot showing. Mrs Guest, Miss Keating and Mrs Williams helped us to space and plant the Lily's of the valley.
Unfortunately half way through planting it started to rain and we got very wet, so we had to finish  our planting and then walk home,
When we got back to school Mrs Guest made us some hot blackcurrent to warm us up as a special treat.
